About us
On the first visit, a detailed medical history is taken in an interview style.
Then Jenny will assess your posture and movement. She will palpate (that is, assess by touch) various areas to determine what course of action may be required.
Occasionally it may be necessary to remove bulky clothing for this examination.
Typically, the treatment itself will begin on the day of the first visit, unless you need to be referred to another discipline
Depending on many factors, such as, but not limited to...
- the nature of the complaint
- the length of time it has been present before visiting the osteopath
- the amount of use the affected area will continue to receive after treatments
As a rule of thumb the longer the problem is there the longer it can take to resolve.
Costs and times
The first consultation takes around 45 mins and subsequent treatments take about 30 mins.
The cost is €65 for each visit.
Treatments are recognised by the major health insurers for some re-imbursement.
